APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN / Transition Skills Program – Next Session Oct 2022
Some Assembly Required (SOAR) is a 6-week program that helps young people transition into the next stage of life – high school. Through SOAR, young people will understand how the brain works, how we all learn, what learning disabilities are, and how to use your strengths to excel.
SOAR is a transitional program which helps students think ahead so they can make good choices now that will lead to those future goals.
Program fees: LDA Members: $75 | Non-Member fee: $125 Who: Students grades 7 to 9 with a learning disability or ADHD diagnosis What: Small group Focus: Increase self advocacy and awareness of student’s disability Program Details: Tuesdays beginning Oct 11 for 6 weeks, from 6-7 p.m. Location: Virtually with ZOOM (Link will be sent to you just before the start of the program)
